The new year usually consists of me mistakenly writing the current year for the year before for about six months until I get it right, then six months later I’ll be doing the same thing. This year also marks my first year at the art institute. big wup. but no really, I’ll need the encouragement to really get through the rest of the two and a half years–considering I can barely manage to do ANYTHING for more than a year.

I didn’t ride as much as I did this holiday but I did manage to nerd out a bunch more, playing obscure card games and mostly getting drunk. I might be back on unemployment but I’ve been getting letters saying things containing words like “may” and “possibly.” I can’t stand the wording they use on these government documents, as if they’re intentionally written to be confusing as hell. However, I’ve also managed to find some side work while in school which is flexible and hopefully something to keep me going in school until my unemployment is figured out.

It’s also sort of a design job but mostly file preparation, but it might provide me some opportunities to experiment with some new work. One thing it will provide me is with some discount on silkscreen services and discount on buying american apparel underpants in bulk, aw yeah.
