So I was awoken by a phone call by my bank’s automated verification system. They called me up to confirm various online purchases made on my card. Usually I glaze over the vendor names and amounts because I shop online a lot, but this time it was weird. I realized then someone had gotten a hold of my card information and made some random purchases (they didn’t get away with much.) However I did have to cancel my debit card AGAIN, after I had lost my wallet. Since I have no other credit cards I am unable to withdrawl stuff from my bank account which blows. This also makes me realize I should maybe limit my online purchases and what not.

Also because of this “bill” I received from my school regarding my loans I manage to not buy this amazing NJS frame on eBay the other day, which I’m pretty depressed about but in reality, I don’t need a new frame yet at all. I really shouldn’t be spending much of anything except for things I need since I am on unemployment until December. So I should be saving until I can think of some kind of income WHILE I’m going to school full time, which will be difficult with the kind of homework I get.

I made a new and more minimal layout for the blog. I also switched over the commenting system to Disqus for better management and overall easier usage. It doesn’t integrate as well but it seems pretty useful and widely used (although no one goes to my blog anymore.) I was considering moving my blog system over to tumblr but they don’t have an import feature so I didn’t think that was worth it. I also didn’t want to learn how to make a theme for another blogging system when I just finally got comfortable with WordPress’ themeing system.

Quarter is almost over, then three weeks off for Summer. I wanted to travel a bit during the break but I really don’t think I should spend the money, sigh.

if you did want to move over to tumblr, i wouldn't worry about the theme system. it's ridiculously simple.
  • It's mainly laziness. Plus I couldn't import anything from wordpress over :/

Holy shit I can comment. You know how long I've been waiting for this, without having to sign up for some lame-o Wordpress account?

I read this. Alla time. Got it on my favorites at work and at home.

    Keep it up.
  • Now that you mention it, I suppose I could've just disabled the requirement to register. I guess I was just afraid of spam.

but the threading feature on this is nice.
