I’ve been enjoying my MacBook Pro a lot lately. Mainly the operating system and its ability to make me a lazy son of a bitch. Also it handles anti-aliasing properly something that really appeals to me for some reason. Although I’m not familiar with enough of the hotkeys, sometimes all the clicking and dragging involved is annoying. I can see myself in the future wanting to load OSX on my next desktop system. However I don’t think I will ever buy their hardware other than laptops.

I often think back when I played War of Warcraft for long periods of time and pretty much scheduled my life around it. My new obsession with bikes is quickly becoming some what similar. I have four weekly bike rides I try to make but with my new quarter at school, it has become increasingly harder to go to all of them, which bums me out to no end. Also when I’m not doing homework or I can’t sleep, I look at NJS Frame export sites and look at sexy hand made bikes I can’t afford (or at least shouldn’t buy) My current bike has a lot of good components now that would definately be worth porting over to a nicer frame. Fortunately, NJS frames are usually custom made for Keirin Racers in Japan, most of whom are fairly short so a large majority of NJS frames are made for riders shorter than myself. So a lot of the time I see really nice frames but none that are my size. I’m afraid of the one day I do see one in my size, freak out and blow several hundreds of bucks on it. Ohh but it would so be worth it.

I think my bike obsession has kind of become a catalyst for my natural impulsive buying habits. I’ve been buying a lot of tools for doing maintenance on my bike. If you’ve ever worked on a bike before you’ll know how many specialized tools there are specifically for bikes and even manufacturers. Most of the time my friends have such tools already but then I rationalize buying them myself so I wouldn’t have to borrow everything. I think more than 50% of the stuff I’ve been buying lately has been bike related.

At least World of Warcraft was only $15 a month. Anyway I wouldn’t really want to trade it off though since biking is far more rewarding. I only wish I lived in a city (and lifestyle) that supported me commuting primarily through biking. However I would probably have to have two bikes as I wouldn’t want to commute with a really nice build in fears of it getting stolen.

It’s becoming increasingly more difficult to manage my time with homework lately also. Although this is probably the maximum of what my work load would consist of, it does worry me when I’ll have to work. Even if that work was part time I don’t know how I am going to juggle those things at the same time, all while being to afford my usual expenses. Until I just typed that sentenced I realized how worried I am about it. I might end up being even more anti-social, besides those I see at school. Hmm..
