This Saturday I joined some of my biking friends on a trip to the Bike District in East Hollywood (Melrose & Heliotrope) for Artcycle, which is a mostly all day event of arts, bikes, local businesses and music. We started off in Rowland Heights at 10am and eventually head out at 11am. We were planning on meeting up some riders in The San Gabriel Valley at a Sandwich shop. The was around 15 miles from Rowland Heights. After we got there ate, had drinks and some good times, we finally head out of there around 4-5pm, going through DTLA and finally hitting the Bike District. Around 7pm we got hungry again and went a few miles south east to eat in Little Tokyo, ending up at the Curry House. A lot of us were pretty tired by then and decided on taking the train back to Pasadena. From Pasadena we would have to ride another 12 miles back to Rowland ending the night at Yogurtland (which was a great way to end it) and finally finished at around midnight. Around 50-65 miles of riding round trip and for almost 12 hours.
This has been the longest ride I’ve ever done and I’m all sore and sunburned but was super fun and satisfying.
