New MacBook Pro

Info on the new MacBook Pro was released today, bumping down the prices for the originals. New one features a few things:
- Glass touchpad, multi-touch. Also larger.
- trackpad-wide button
- nVidia 9 series GPUs.
- $1999 – 15-inch, 2.4Ghz Core 2 Duo 3MB L2 Cache, 2GB RAM, 250GB Hard drive.
- $2499 – 15-inch, 2.53ghz Core 2 Duo 6MB L2 Cache, 4GB RAM, 320GB Hard drive.
Aesthetically, they look better. Cleaner lines to match the new iMacs, but the display is encased in a highly-glossy plastic/glass which would probably ge a lot of smudges and glare, massive glare. That could get annoying. The glass trackpad is a nice idea as I like the feel of a glass touch surface like on my iPhone. The new notebooks are also a bit lighter than before (0.5lbs lighter I think) and thickness down to 0.95in.
This bodes well as I will be starting school next use and probably using some loan money for a laptop. Plus its probably best if a few months pass from release date before buying one myself to make sure nothing crazy is going on with it.
